Refunds
Apple takes your payment, so Apple processes refunds. To ask for one:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
- Choose "Request a refund", pick the reason, and select K67.
Section 44 of the ECT Act gives a consumer who buys online the right to cancel within seven days, without giving a reason and without penalty, and to a full refund within 30 days of cancelling. Section 42(2) excludes some purchases from that right, among them computer software the consumer has unsealed and services that began, with the consumer's consent, inside the seven days. The law does not yet say clearly whether an app download falls under those exclusions. Where section 44 applies to you, nothing in these terms takes it away.
If you ask Apple for a refund within seven days of buying and Apple declines, email
If K67 has a defect, the Consumer Protection Act gives you further rights for six months, including a repair, replacement or refund (sections 55 and 56). Email us and we will put it right.
Terms of use
1. A study aid
K67 helps you prepare for the learner's licence test. It cannot promise you a pass. We wrote K67's questions and explanations ourselves, from the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996, the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000, and the published road-sign specifications. The questions in your test will differ from the ones in K67.
2. The mock test
The mock test follows the published test format: 64 questions in three sections (28 on rules of the road, 28 on road signs, 8 on vehicle controls), each with its own pass mark (22, 23 and 6), as set out in Government Notice R.93 of 2006. We found no published time limit, so K67 sets its own 60-minute timer.
3. Use it before your test
Study with K67 before your test. Do not take your phone or any study aid into the test.
4. Accuracy
We check the questions against the law and the sign specifications. The law changes, and we can make mistakes. K67 does not give legal advice. For the current rules and test arrangements, ask your testing centre or visit natis.gov.za. If you think a question is wrong, tell us at
5. What you may do with K67
You may use K67 on the Apple devices that Apple's licence allows. You may not copy, publish or sell K67's questions or explanations, or extract K67's content from the app.
6. Ownership
Luca Johannes Bradley Conarroe owns the copyright in K67's questions, explanations and app design. The road-sign designs come from South Africa's road-sign specifications. Of K67's 617 sign drawings, 412 come from Wikimedia Commons, where they are in the public domain, and K67 drew the rest from the published specifications. Settings › About › Sign images lists them.
7. Liability
Read Liability at the top of this page.
8. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when the law or the app changes. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do.
9. Governing law
The law of the Republic of South Africa governs these terms. Apple's standard licence names its own governing law, but it cannot take away your rights under South African consumer law.
